EGYPT. Alexandria. Trajan, 98-117. Drachm (Bronze, 34.30 mm, 23.40 g, 12 h), year IZ = 17 = 113-114. ΑΥΤ ΤΡΑΙΑΝ CEΒ ΓEΡΜ ΔΑΚΙΚ Laureate bust of Trajan to right, aegis on his far shoulder. Rev. L IZ Kalathos containing grain ears and poppies in a chariot adorned with a laurel branch and drawn by two crowned winged serpents to right. Dattari (Savio) 1103. Geissen 648. K&G 27.563. RPC III 4804.2. Well-centered, and with an attractive brown patina. Some flatness and infelicities of strike, otherwise, about extremely fine.
